On August 11th, Xiaomi brought a tech product: Xiaomi Transparent TV, which is the world's first mass-produced transparent TV, priced at about 7300$.

The Mi Transparent TV is the second product in the Mi TV Master series. It uses a 55-inch LG transparent OLED screen with a 5.7mm ultra-thin design. It is equipped with 1.07 billion primary color screens, supports DCI-P3 93% wide color gamut, 120Hz refresh rate, supports MEMC motion compensation, and 1ms transient response.

In the actual experience, I found that this transparent TV cannot be viewed on both sides, and the TV picture cannot be seen from the back. This is because the screen glows towards the front, and the back view is only the picture reflected by the glass panel, which is the picture on the background wall behind the TV.

In addition, you can see the background from the front of the TV, which has a certain influence on the content of the TV screen, so consumer who want to start this transparent TV must remember to choose a simple and solid-color background wall, and do not place lights behind the TV.

As the world's first mass-produced transparent TV, the Xiaomi transparent TV is amazing enough. The UI is optimized for the transparent screen, removing the original solid color part, which makes the content card seem to float in the air, which is very sci-fi.

When turned off, the Mi Transparent TV is like a piece of transparent glass with a film. Because the screen is covered with wires, it is not completely transparent like glass, but a little dark. You can see the mesh wires when you look closely.
